All-on-4 Dental Implants

Dr. Stephanie Kinsey recently completed advanced coursework in the All-on-4 Dental Implant Technique with the renowned Dr. Anthony G. Sclar, a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, and cosmetic and dental implant specialist. Dr. Kinsey studied at his practice and teaching facility, The Sclar Center in Miami, Fla.

On April 4 through April 8, Dr. Kinsey and Liz White, EDA and practice dental assistant, learned about the latest technologies in the dental implant system using dentures and same day teeth being placed on implants to provide patients with fewer procedures and visits, and fixed teeth that cost less than traditional implants, among others.

According to Dr. Kinsey, she is now further trained to provide the highly-customized, permanent denture and implant system for qualified patients at her practice in northwest St. Johns County. “We strive to continuously enhance our medical knowledge and help patients attain a youthful, attractive, and healthy smile,” said Dr. Kinsey. “The All-on-4 technique can provide qualified patients with immediate and rapid improvement to their quality of life with a fixed, dental prosthesis on four implants. This can be accomplished on the same day of surgery and can quickly lead to improved function, aesthetics, senses, speech, and self-esteem,” she said. “Plus, patients appreciate less treatment complexity while avoiding the need for time-consuming bone grafting and other more invasive procedures,” she said.

The dental implant technique is designed for those who have lost all of their teeth or are soon to have their last, failing teeth removed. Specifically, the technique includes permanently attaching a lifelike prosthetic with teeth to a total of four dental implants that are anchored in the jawbone. The implant-supported teeth look and function like real teeth and are maintained with the same oral hygiene practices, such as brushing and flossing. “This method provides important health benefits for each patient and functional teeth on the same day that implant surgery is performed with less cost,” said Dr. Kinsey.
