Dr. Stephanie Kinsey of Palencia Dental in St. Augustine is known throughout Florida and her industry as a DDS who continually looks for new ways to build upon her already impressive dentistry knowledge. She routinely attends industry-leading events and seminars to not only learn from the best dentists in the world but to also share her own experiences and insights with other professionals. Recently, in May 2019, she capitalized on an amazing opportunity to attend the 20th Biennial International College of Craniomandibular Orthopedics (ICCMO) session in Moscow, Russia!
At this incredible conference, hundreds of people from the dental industry all came together to learn about advanced dental medicines. In particular, neuromuscular dental medicine was a centerpiece of the conference, as well as groundbreaking technology that is advancing it each year.
Dr. Kinsey was able to host several lectures about sleep apnea, neuromuscular restoration in relation to dental issues, bite management, and more. Her specializations and insight attracted the attention of the renowned Dr. Tsuyoshi Kusanagi of Tokyo, who shared a discussion with her before the conference about how facial asymmetry can play a major role in a patient’s orthodontic problems.
As a lifetime member of ICCMO, returning to the conference was a welcome learning and sharing opportunity for Dr. Kinsey. The organization was first founded more than 30 years ago with a goal of better understanding and treating TMJ and TMD. Thanks to seminars like the recent one and doctors like Dr. Kinsey, there have been great strides and treatment advancements across the years. It is her personal goal to continue supporting ICCMO with her membership and professional knowledge.
